Around the World in 80 Days – June 2019

Countless years have slipped by since the legendary Phileas Fogg undertook his remarkable journey around the globe in just 80 days. Today, we find ourselves in a contemporary setting where Phileas’s spirited descendant, Jennifer Fogg, discovers an old, leather-bound diary tucked away in the attic of her family home. This diary reveals the intricate details of Phileas’s epic adventure, filled with vivid accounts of the diverse cultures he encountered and the challenges he faced.

Jennifer, a diligent employee at the Bank of England, shares her enthusiasm for exploration with her closest friend, Danny. Inspired by her ancestor’s experiences and fuelled by a sense of adventure, they approach their employer, who eagerly agrees to sponsor their ambitious quest to retrace Phileas’s steps. However, as Jennifer and Danny set out on their journey, an air of mystery surrounds them. They soon realize that forces are at work that threaten to disrupt their adventure.
