Beauty and the Beast – January 2018

In a quaint and picturesque village nestled in the heart of France, we meet Belle, a spirited young woman with an insatiable hunger for adventure and a longing to escape her routine life. She often finds herself lost in books, dreaming of far-off places and thrilling escapades. Just beyond her village looms an imposing castle, home to a mysterious being known only as the Beast. Once a dashing prince, the Beast now lives in solitude, burdened by a curse placed upon him and his devoted staff by a bitter, enchanted sorceress. The curse has transformed them into enchanted objects—a talking clock, a charming candlestick, a playful feather duster, and a wise teapot—doomed to remain in their transformed states until someone loves the Beast despite his fearsome exterior.

When Belle’s beloved mother is captured and imprisoned within the castle’s dark and towering walls, Belle’s courage is ignited. With sheer determination and a heart full of hope, she sets off on her perilous quest to rescue her mother. As she ventures deeper into the castle, she discovers its magical residents, who bring warmth and whimsy to the otherwise gloomy halls. With the help of her newfound friends, Belle confronts her fears and encounters the Beast—a creature both fearsome and lonely.

Despite their rocky beginnings, Belle and the Beast slowly build a fragile bond. They share conversations that reveal their hopes and vulnerabilities, fostering an unexpected friendship amidst the darkness. But just as their connection begins to deepen and the potential for love blooms, sinister forces threaten to tear them apart. The villainous Gaston, driven by his own selfish desires, seeks to claim Belle for himself and eliminate the Beast once and for all.
