Chris Sellars
Chris has been an integral member of the Hardwicke Players since the very first production and proudly holds the valued title of “Founding Member” of the Hardwicke Players, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the arts in our community. Over the years, he has actively participated in every single performance organised by the Hardwicke Players, showcasing his versatility and passion for theatre.
His talents extend beyond acting; Chris has excelled in taking on numerous lead roles, captivating audiences with his dynamic performances. In addition to his stage presence, he plays a crucial role behind the scenes, taking charge of scenery design and painting. His keen eye for detail and creativity significantly enhance the visual aspects of our productions, ensuring that each performance is as aesthetically pleasing as it is engaging.
Chris’s dedication has not gone unnoticed, as he has earned a seat on our committee, where he serves as the Head of Set Design. In this role, he not only leads design initiatives but also mentors newer members, sharing his extensive knowledge and fostering a collaborative spirit within the group.
Outside of theatre, Chris works as a skilled cabinet maker. His craftsmanship reflects his artistic nature, and he takes great pride in his work. By night, you can often find him honing his culinary skills in the kitchen, where he enjoys experimenting with new recipes while also indulging in his passion for singing, often filling the space with music.
Interestingly, Chris possesses a remarkable talent for gin tasting, demonstrating a discerning palate for the finer spirits. Despite this unique skill, he remains refreshingly humble about his abilities, preferring to enjoy the experience rather than seek accolades. His multifaceted contributions continue to enrich the Hardwicke Players and the broader community.
